Cookie & Tracking Policy

This page explains how tracking technologies are used on larajuliagraham.com, maintained by Lara Julia Graham.

What we actually use

This site does not set tracking cookies for visitors. Instead, when you download the free chapter, your browser generates a random, anonymous identifier stored locally on your device (using browser localStorage, not a cookie). This helps us understand how many unique people are downloading the chapter, without identifying who you are.

We also record the page that referred you to the site and basic device information (browser, operating system, device type) at the time of download. Because submitting your email through the signup form is a required step to unlock the chapter download, your email address and this download data are created in the same flow. A random reference ID is stored on both the signup record and the download record so we can tell whether a signup resulted in a download. The download record still contains no name or email — only the anonymous visitor ID and technical fields described above.

The only cookie this site sets is a technical session cookie used for the site owner's private admin login. It is not set for visitors and does not track visitor activity.

We do not use cookies or tracking for advertising, cross-site tracking, or building personal profiles.

Your choices

You can clear your browser's local storage at any time through your browser settings, which will reset the anonymous identifier described above. Doing so will not affect your ability to read the site or download the free chapter.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in the tools we use or applicable law.
